Art Explorers (ages 3 to 5)

Thursdays 3:00 to 3:45

Come paint with fingers & brushes!  Art Explorers is a wonderful opportunity to participate in your young child's artistic exploration and discovery. Please come prepared to get messy!  In this series of six classes, we will explore basic art concepts and skills.  There will be projects that allow for experimentation with line quality, colour theory, form and shape.  Projects include printmaking, mixed media, wax resist, colour mixing, sculpture and simple stitching.  This is a  process based class, allowing for individual expression, experimentation and emergent curriculum.  Parents/caregivers participate in class and learn what they can do to help nurture creativity.

Beginner Art (ages 6 to 11)

Thursdays 4:15 to 5:15

Cost $129 per Session inc Supplies

Instructor: Ms. Heather Yip

Beginner Art will expose participants to a variety of media and processes, from collage to printmaking to sculpture projects and more.  Each week the group will learn something new and will make a variety of work throughout the course.  The kids will end the program by displaying their work in an exhibition in our beautiful space and be able to invite parents, other family and friends to come and appreciate their work!

Intermediate/Advanced Art (ages 12+)

Thursdays 5:45 to 7:15

Cost $179 per Session inc Supplies

Instructor: Ms. Heather Yip

Creative youth explore 2D and 3D artmaking in this class.  Working with a professional art instructor in a focussed workshop environment, students will complete a variety of projects in drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpture. Sketching and an examination of the creative process will complement hands-on learning to create an engaging and accessible art experience for creative youth of all backgrounds.  The program culminates in a final exhibition of student work.
